The Brevard Chorale was founded in 1966 by Dr. Tom Whiteside and has been bringing people of every age, life experience and vocal background together to sing for the pure joy of participating in great choral music. Since then, the Brevard Chorale has had several conductors, including Larry Boye, Mark Hanson, Claire Baggarly and Vern Boushell.  The Chorale is one of two community choruses sponsored by the Fine Arts Department of Brevard Community College.

The Chorale is a mixed-voice choral ensemble with singers ranging in age from sixteen to senior adults.  The group is open to all residents of Brevard County, with the Central and northern sections of the county as the primary draw of the group.  Three concerts per year are scheduled around the academic calendar of the College.  Frequent opportunities are available for summer choral tours.  Members of the Chorale have traveled to and have performed twice in Carnegie Hall through the auspices of Mid-America Productions.

Opportunities abound for you to support The Brevard Chorale.  While the Chorale is grateful for funding from BCC, additional expenses are met through the annual advertising campaign and sale of program advertising.  If you would be interested in supporting us, please see our "Donations and Sponsorships" page.   Most seasons during the month of March an additional fundraising event is scheduled.

Information about auditions may be addressed to the director through the "Contact Us" page.
