Mrs. Black began studying piano at age five with the former Connie
Trainor of Rockledge. After graduating from Titusville High in 1992,
Jean attended Florida State University where she received her Bachelor
of Fine Arts in Television, Motion Picture and Recording Arts with a
minor in Music (1996). Since returning to Brevard County in 1996 Mrs.
Black has become quite “in demand” as an accompanist. She accompanies
Elementary, Middle School and High School Choirs throughout Brevard
County along with playing for orchestra, band and vocal soloists for
solo and ensemble judging. For several summers she has been rehearsal
accompanist for the Central and North Brevard Summer Fine Arts
productions. Both the Titusville Playhouse and Cocoa Village Playhouse
have utilized her talents as well as the Space Coast Pops. She works
with the music programs at the Indian River City United Methodist Church
both as a singer, worship leader and pianist. The Brevard Chorale is
indeed fortunate to have such an accomplished and well rounded musician
accompanying this fine organization. |
