Membership in the Brevard Chorale is and has always been open to the
entire community. Prospective members are asked to participate in an
informal audition so the director can assess range and voice
quality. Advanced vocal technique is not a
prerequisite for membership. Our purpose is to provide
an opportunity and environment for singers to grow musically and
technically. Music reading skills are helpful but, again,
not a prerequisite. Since the
2009 - 2010 season there has been in existence an advanced ensemble
of 16 to 20 voices called VOCE. This is an opportunity for members
who have more advanced musical skills. The audition for this group
is involved. |
